The TV series Dune: Prophecy is set 10,000 years before the ascension of Paul Atreides and is inspired by the novel Sisterhood of Dune by Brian Herbert and Kevin J. Anderson. After the great public and critical success of Dune – Part 2, the imaginary universe created by Frank Herbert is ready to land on TV with Dune: Prophecy, an HBO Max TV series of which the first teaser trailer has been released, shown for the first time during the Warner Bros. Discovery Upfront presentation in New York City.

Dune: Prophecy, set 10,000 years before the ascension of Paul Atreides (played in the film saga by Timothée Chalamet) and inspired by the novel Sisterhood of Dune by Brian Herbert and Kevin J. Anderson, follows two Harkonnen sisters as they fight the forces that threaten the future of humanity and found the sect that would become known as the Bene Gesserit. The first season of the show consists of six episodes and will debut on HBO Max next fall.

Dune: Prophecy stars Emily Watson, Olivia Williams, Travis Fimmel, Jodhi May, and Mark Strong. The cast also includes Sarah-Sofie Boussnina, Josh Heuston, Chloe Lea, Jade Anouka, Faoileann Cunningham, Edward Davis, Aoife Hinds, Chris Mason, Shalom Brune-Franklin, Jihae, Tabu, Charithra Chandran, Jessica Barden, Emma Canning and Yerin Ha. Alison Schapker (Fringe) is the showrunner and executive producer of the series. Diane Ademu-John co-developed the show and also serves as executive producer. Anna Foerster (Outlander) produced and directed several episodes, including the first. The executive producers are Jordan Goldberg, Mark Tobey, John Cameron, Matthew King, Scott Z. Burns, Jon Spaihts, Brian Herbert, Byron Merritt, and Kim Herbert.
