Deadpool/Spider-Man |
In an interview with Total Film, director Shawn Levy, who teamed up two popular superheroes in the titular roles in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) film "Deadpool & Wolverine," talked about the next characters he would like to see team up. "I think Deadpool's appeal is that he makes everything even more interesting with his boldness. But I would love to see Deadpool and Spider-Man co-star. I would like to make such a movie, and I think Tom Holland could do it better than anyone else," he said, talking about a co-starring that is a fan's dream.
In fact, the team-up comic "Spider-Man/Deadpool," which was published in a total of 51 issues from 2016 to 2019, has realized a tag team between the two characters. There is no doubt that there will be no shortage of material for film adaptation.
Meanwhile, producer Wendy Jacobson said she would like to see a showdown between Deadpool and the villain Titania, who also appeared in the MCU drama "She-Hulk: The Attorney" (2022). "She's a very noble and hilarious character, and she's also a sharp, joking actor who can improvise," she explained. "I can't imagine myself becoming an actor, and I can't imagine going up against someone as quick-witted and smart as Ryan Reynolds, who always makes me laugh, but that woman (Titania) could do it," she added.
Titania's strength, which boasts a strong body, is comparable to that of She-Hulk, and her tough skin is resistant to high temperatures and bullets. Jameela Jamil played the same role in "She-Hulk: The Attorney." With its release just around the corner, "Deadpool & Wolverine" is expected to record the number-one opening night of 2024. If its success leads to a fourth or fifth movie, perhaps a team-up with Spider-Man or Titania could be realized? Before that, enjoy "Deadpool & Wolverine," which will be released in Japan on July 24th, the earliest in the world.
