Superman filming in Cleveland, United States, continues to give hints and Easter eggs about what we might see in the hero's new film. Now, the sign of the Wounded Duck, a bar from Batman's stories, has been photographed on set. Wounded Duck is a bar that Tim Drake, the third Robin, opened in New York under the name Cal Corcoran. In other words, this suggests that the Robins will exist in James Gunn's DCU continuity, which will have a Batman and Robin film (in this case, Bruce and Damian Wayne, not Tim Drake) called The Brave and the Bold.

See the Easter egg below:

James Gunn will write and direct a story focusing on a younger Clark Kent, shortly after leaving Smallville, and in his early days as a reporter in the city of Metropolis. Parallel to the beginning of his professional career, he also takes his initial steps as Superman. The film, however, is not an origin story, so we won't see Krypton exploding or the Kents discovering it. David Corenswet plays Clark Kent/Superman, Rachel Brosnahan plays Lois Lane and Nicholas Hoult is the villain Lex Luthor. Skyler Gisondo will play Jimmy Olsen, the hero's best friend.

Wendell Pierce was cast as Perry White, the editor-in-chief of the Daily Planet, the newspaper where Clark Kent, Lois Lane, and Jimmy Olsen work Other DC characters will be in the film. Nathan Fillion plays Green Lantern Guy Gardner, Isabela Merced will play Hawkgirl, Edi Gathegi will play Mr. Incredible and Anthony Carrigan is in the role of Metamorpho. In addition to these, the film has María Gabriela De Faria as Engineering, a character who will later appear in the group The Authority, which will have its own film.

Gunn and Safran will produce the film as part of DC Studios. Superman (previously called Superman: Legacy) premieres on July 11, 2025, and will mark the beginning of the new DC Universe of cinema and television.
