Lucky Baskhar Movie Review: Dulquer Salmaan has a good fan base in Malayalam as well as Telugu. His diverse selection of stories has brought him closer to audiences who crave novelty. 'Seetharam' which came out in 2022 became a big hit. After that once again the audience came forward with the movie 'Lucky Bhaskar'. Venky Atluri, who scored a big hit with 'Sir', directed this movie. This movie, which created good interest among the people with the teaser and trailers, came to the audience with the premiere on Thursday. And how is this movie?
Lucky Bhaskar Movie Story:
This story takes place in the early 90s. Bhaskar (Dulquer Salmaan) is a middle-class bank employee. His wife is Sumathi (Meenakshi Chaudhary). They have a son (Ritvik). The salary of nine thousand rupees in the bank is not enough for Bhaskar, who has a Gampedu family. This puts the whole town in debt. Because of Prema's marriage, they don't like Bhaskar in Sumati's house.
They see that there is no money. In addition to this, the promotion that is rightfully due to him in the bank goes to other people. With this, Bhaskar starts a small scam in the bank. What happened to Bhaskar's life after that? Did Bhaskar's mistakes come out? What happened to Bhaskar's life in the end? If you want to know that, you have to watch 'Lucky Bhaskar'.
Lucky Bhaskar Movie Analysis:
There are very few films on financial crime in Telugu. In that too, there are fewer films about crimes in the banking sector. Venky Atluri's 'Lucky Bhaskar' falls into that category. The film is based on a stock market scandal that rocked the country in the 1990s. So far the movies and series on the scam have mainly revolved around the scammer. But what actually happened around that scam? What are the lives of the officers involved in the scam? Venky Atluri's focus on that is a plus point. Due to this, the shadows of those movies and series did not fall on it.
The movie starts with Bhaskar being arrested by the CBI officials and Bhaskar starts telling his story. How many hardships did Bhaskar's family face due to lack of money? How many insults? Such things are shown very effectively and emotionally in short scenes. Once Bhaskar starts making money illegally, the film's graph will suddenly increase. Every three to four scenes there is a high point or a twist. It keeps the audience from looking away from the screen. In particular, each and every adventure of Bhaskar feels like a unique story. Above all this, an interval twist was planned to give a high and increase the interest in the second half.
The story takes another turn in the second half. The actual stock market scam comes into the story in the second half. How much money has driven Bhaskar? What brought Bhaskar back down to earth? Emotions are well worked out in these matters. Especially in movies like this, there is a heroism graph like rise, fall, rise again. But in Lucky Bhaskar, there is only rise and realization. In the end, the movie ends again with a high point.
Venky Atluri has taken special care in writing this movie. After the first three films, Venky thought that he could only make love stories, but he made an education-based film with 'Sir' and scored a hit. Now again he has taken up the subject of financial crime which has not been touched by many. Even though there is not a single fight scene, the movie has many elevations.
Every insult to the Dulquer family will be answered in the next scenes. Also, there is an apology for every insult Dulquer commits without blood money. It is special that even if the hero says sorry, the audience feels satisfaction. Especially the dialogues are also very good. Sayings like 'A fast-moving cart and a fast rolling rupee sometimes knock a man down' add to the level of the scenes. The emotional scene after Bhaskar's son's birthday is one of the highlights of the film.
The songs given by GV Prakash Kumar are great to listen to and on-screen too. All the songs are almost in montage so the story doesn't feel disturbed. His background score especially in some scenes elevates the movie to the next level.
Actors Performance:
Dulquer Salmaan played the role of middle-class Bhaskar. His experience is seen especially in emotional scenes. Meenakshi Chaudhary has done a role that has a good scope for acting, unlike regular glamorous roles. Very well acted too. Rithvik, who plays Dulquer's son, breaks down in tears in one scene. All the other actors played their roles well.
Overall... As lucky as Bhaskar is in this movie, Dulquer is equally lucky to get this movie. Like 'Lucky Bhaskar' can also be called 'Lucky Dulquer'.
